Christian Inspirational Story- what is LOVE?

For those who misuse the word love, even kids have a better understanding than adults. A group of professional people posted this question to a group of 4 to 8 year olds: "What does love mean?" The answers they got were broader and deeper than anyone could have imagined.

1. When my grandma got arthritis, she couldn't bend over and paint her toenails anymore. So my grandpa does it for her now all the time, even when his hands got arthritis too. That's love.

Rebecca - age 8

2. When someone loves you, the way they say your name is different. You just know that your name is safe in their mouths.

Billy - age 4

3. Love is when a girl puts on perfume and a boy puts on shaving Cologne and they go out and smell each other.

Kari - age 5

4. Love is when you go out to eat and give somebody most of your French Fries without making them give you any of theirs.

Chrissy - age 6

5. Love is what makes you smile when you're tired.

Terri - age 4

6. Love is when my mommy makes coffee for my daddy and she takes a sip giving it to him, to make sure the taste is OK.

Danny - age 7

7. Love is when you kiss all the time. Then when you get tired of kissing, you still want to be together and you talk more. My mommy and daddy are like that. They look gross when they kiss.

Emily - age 8

8. Love is what's in the room with you at Christmas if you stop opening presents and listen.

Bobby - age 7

9. If you want to learn to love better, you should start with a friend who you hate.

Nikka - age 6

10. Love is when you tell a guy you like his shirt, then he wears it everyday.

Noelle - age 7

11. Love is like a little old woman and a little old man who are still friends, even after they know each other so well.

Tommy - age 6

12. My mommy loves me more than anybody. You don't see anyone else kissing me to sleep at night.

Clare - age 6

13. Love is when mommy sees daddy smelly and sweaty and still says he is handsomer than Robert Redford.

Chris - age 7

14. Love is when your puppy licks your face even after you left him alone all day.

Mary Ann - age 4

15. When you love somebody, your eyelashes go up and down and little stars come out of you.

Karen - age 7

16. Love is when mommy sees daddy on the toilet and doesn't think it's gross.

Mark - age 6

17. You really shouldn't say "I LOVE YOU" unless you mean it. But if you mean it, you should say it a lot. People forget.

Jessica - age 8

And the winner was a 4 year old child whose next door neighbor was an elderly man who had just lost his wife. When the child saw the man cry, the little boy went over into the man's yard and climbed on top of the man's lap and just sat there.

When the boy's mother asked him what he'd said to the neighbor, the little boy said, "Nothing, I just helped him cry.

Love and Time

Once upon a time, there was an island where all the feelings lived: Happiness, Sadness, Knowledge, and all of the others, including Love. One day it was announced to the feelings that the island would sink, so all constructed boats and left. Except for Love.
Love was the only one who stayed. Love wanted to hold out until the last possible moment.

When the island had almost sunk, Love decided to ask for help.

Richness was passing by Love in a grand boat. Love said,

"Richness, can you take me with you?"

Richness answered, "No, I can't. There is a lot of gold and silver in my boat. There is no place here for you."

Love decided to ask Vanity who was also passing by in a beautiful vessel. "Vanity, please help me!"

"I can't help you, Love. You are all wet and might damage my boat," Vanity answered.

Sadness was close by so Love asked, "Sadness, let me go with you."

"Oh . . . Love, I am so sad that I need to be by myself!"

Happiness passed by Love, too, but she was so happy that she did not even hear when Love called her.

Suddenly, there was a voice, "Come, Love, I will take you." It was an elder. So blessed and overjoyed, Love even forgot to ask the elder where they were going. When they arrived at dry land, the elder went her own way. Realizing how much was owed the elder,

Love asked Knowledge, another elder, "Who Helped me?"

"It was Time," Knowledge answered.

"Time?" asked Love. "But why did Time help me?"

Knowledge smiled with deep wisdom and answered, "Because only Time is capable of understanding how valuable Love is."

..a beautiful story

She jumped up as soon as she saw the surgeon come out of the operating room. She said: 'How is my little boy? Is he going to be all right? When can I see him?'

The surgeon said, 'I'm sorry. We did all we could, but your boy didn't make it..'

Sally said, 'Why do little children get cancer? Doesn't God care any more? Where were you, God, when my son needed you?'

The surgeon asked, 'Would you like some time alone with your son? One of the nurses will be out in a few minutes, before he's transported to the university.'

Sally asked the nurse to stay with her while she said good bye to son.. She ran her fingers lovingly through his thick red curly hair... 'Would you like a lock of his hair?' the nurse asked. Sally nodded yes. The nurse cut a lock of the boy's hair, put it in a plastic bag and handed it to Sally..

The mother said, 'It was Jimmy's idea to donate his body to the University for Study. He said it might help somebody else. 'I said no at first, but Jimmy said, 'Mom, I won't be using it after I die. Maybe it will help some other little boy spend one more day with his Mom.' She went on, 'My Jimmy had a heart of gold. Always thinking of someone else. Always wanting to help others if he could..'
Sally walked out of Children's Mercy Hospital for the last time, after spending most of the last six months there. She put the bag with Jimmy's belongings on the seat beside her in the car.

The drive home was difficult. It was even harder to enter the empty house. She carried Jimmy's belongings, and the plastic bag with the lock of his hair to her son's room.

She started placing the model cars and other personal things back in his room exactly where he had always kept them. She lay down across his bed and, hugging his pillow, cried herself to sleep.

It was around midnight when Sally awoke. Lying beside her on the bed was a folded letter. The letter said:

'Dear Mom,

I know you're going to miss me; but don't think that I will ever forget you, or stop loving you, just 'cause I'm not around to say 'I Love You'. I will always love you, Mom, even more with each day. Someday we will see each other again. Until then, if you want to adopt a little boy so you won't be so lonely, that's okay with me. He can have my room and old stuff to play with. But, if you decide to get a girl instead, she probably wouldn't like the same things us boys do. You'll have to buy her dolls and stuff girls like, you know.

Don't be sad thinking about me. This really is a neat place. Grandma and Grandpa met me as soon as I got here and showed me around some, but it will take a long time to see everything.. The angels are so cool. I love to watch them fly. And, you know what? Jesus doesn't look like any of his pictures.. Yet, when I saw Him, I knew it was Him.. Jesus himself took me to see GOD! And guess what, Mom? I got to sit on God's knee and talk to Him, like I was somebody important.. That's when I told Him that I wanted to write you a letter, to tell you good bye and everything. But I already knew that wasn't allowed. Well, you know what Mom? God handed me some paper and His own personal pen to write you this letter I think Gabriel is the name of the angel who is going to drop this letter off to you. God said for r me to give you the answer to one of the questions you asked Him 'where was He when I needed him?' 'God said He was in the same place with me, as when His son Jesus was on the cross. He was right there, as He always is with all His children.

Oh, by the way, Mom, no one else can see what I've written except you. To everyone else this is just a blank piece of paper. Isn't that cool? I have to give God His pen back now He needs it to write some more names in the Book of Life.. Tonight I get to sit at the table with Jesus for supper. I'm sure the food will be great.

Oh, I almost forgot to tell you. I don't hurt anymore the cancer is all gone.. I'm glad because I couldn't stand that pain anymore and God couldn't stand to see me hurt so much, either. That's when He sent The Angel of Mercy to come get me. The Angel said I was a Special Delivery! How about that?

Signed with Love from God, Jesus & Me.

(Let's see Satan stop this one.) Take 60 seconds and repost this, within the hour, you will have caused a multitude of believers to pray to God for each other. Then sit back and feel the Holy Spirit work in your life for doing what you know God loves 'When you're down to nothing, God is up to something.'

This is beautiful! Try not to cry.

an updated version of me

It has been 19 years since I first seen the beauty of the earth. since then, I've been thankful to God for giving me this wonderful gift, the gift of LIFE. And now as i grow up, I leave immaturity and innocence behind, a lot of things changed, changes that somehow leads me to become a better person, not only on physical aspect but as well as the emotional and social aspect of life.

..So much for the introduction, let's get to the main coarse. I am writing this blog for my followers to know the latest updates about me. it's been a long time since I've created a blog. if not only for my edtech subject I wouldn't be motivated to create one(thank's to ma'am V.).. As I was saying, it's still me..still preety, well honestly a lot more preetier..hahaha,... my name doesn't change, what else??..
kidding aside, I can say that the past few years have shaped me to become a stronger and mature person. I have experienced a lot of ups and downs and I've learned from it. I'm also proud of the achievements I have gained both in the academic and personal aspect of life.

About my status?...I'm single,..yeah!  It's been.. ahmm.. 7 months?..and we both moved on.. sometimes we still update each other about the happenings in our life, that's it.. PERIOD. Time to look for another prospect,hehehe..but honestly I am very happy about being single and I am enjoy entertaining my suitors..quoted from a famous line"collect and collect then select later"..hahaha..

So much about that, as I was saying ,my life wouldn't be this meaningful and happy without the people whose been with me through thick and thin.

My friends who i share with all the laughter and tears, assuring me that everything will be OK, making me feel comfortable whenever they are around. For my family, for the support and guidance, their words of wisdom that keeps me going.

And to that special someone, whose always been with me even though there's a great distance between us, for his undying support, love and care. for making me realize that life is still beautiful even if there are a lot of problems and challenges along the way. i hope you wouldn't change and maybe THERE's chance for us at the right time...
